I agree with the boathouse-great date spot, cosy, nice music and you can follow it up with a stroll around the park...swans are spectacular by moonlighttheatre and company is also nice especially if it follows dinner at Chefs on King Victoria Park Boathouse is a great spot to start; then go for a walk or head downtyown for some dancing.
Another place to start a good first date is at Bistro 105 (Sheraton Four Points) - great piano lounge. A nice outdoors patio in Waterloo is the Masala Bay at Regina and Erb East. Another great evening to know a lady is the short drive to Conestogo Lake; walk along the banks, ( of course full moon liight; quiet, serene, and leads to several different possibilities if she is spontanious and care free. EDITED: I see that this was mentioned LOL^^^If you like Indian cuisine * I freakin LOVE it*Grain of Salt in Preston, Cambridge is awesome!!
However; their dining room is rather VERY nice and their pastas are PHENOMENAL! Just wondering if I have a couple of hours to wander around the city where people thought I shoud go to just get a quick feel for the city.
Looking for some shops and maybe a unique restaurant with a funky feel to it. The restaurant..."The Rude Native"The shops are all over the place, however, Regina Street..TONS of art stores and shops in it. Good Day, Since you included Aberfoyle locations, I thought that I would chip in with a few really good Guelph locations: The Bookshelf on Quebec st.
Meeting for coffee/lunch/dinner/drinks at the symposium cafe uptown waterloo is a wonderful spot (their desserts are to die for) located at 2 king street north waterloo its quite the experience you should check it out. I'll bet the woman on the date would really enjoy the heuther (strip joint), flying dog (meat market by far!
not to mention new management every 4 months or so), stampede corral (biggest meat market this side of toronto if ever there was one, woman would have chicks asking her date for a dance from under her nose, and who knows, the guy on the date would certainly have an eyeful of estrogen).
Pinky For those of you that like chinese, theres a newer chinese place on Fischer hallman and ottawa in the little plaza with tim hortons called the Lantern.
Its not a really flashy or overly traditional chinese restaurant, but the food is great and the service is pretty good aswell. It MAY be a meat market if you go there on the BAR NIGHTS! (I's lost)Tiptoes out of the room with tail somewhere in between his knees I might be headed to Kitchener tomorrow to check out a dance performance.
They do awesome dinner shows featuring Shania Twin, Elvis etc.
Lotsof_luv and I are planning a get together there in Febraury.
: light dining with a bit of an intellectual edge, as it is beside (joined) a bookstore. For K\W, one only needs to wander around the university area for some ethnic delight to grab you interest.
It's patio is quite nice with just enough sky to let you know that it's outside, but enough shade to avoid the sun. George's Square : Trendy and well dressed is a must here. Samura Sushi on Woodlawn : Yes, it is beside a hotel, but it still has the best sushi in Guelph The Albion on Wyndam is a pub with a relaxed atmosphere and a really nice 2 story patio Curry in a Hurry : For a really relaxed date, where price is an issue. In the malls beside the university of Waterloo, there are at least 4 that I can think of, and the Egyptian one is quite nice with a buffet.
